Travel Tiles

Match three souvenirs at a time and clear the board — free in your browser, no download.

Match Heist, our match-3 heist game, is coming soon to mobile — see what we’re building.

How to play Travel Tiles

The board is a stack of layered tiles, each one a little travel souvenir. Tap any free tile — one that nothing is sitting on top of — and it lifts off the board into your tray of seven slots along the bottom.

The tray is where matches happen. The moment three tiles of the same kind sit in the tray together, they clear on their own and hand their slots back. Two is never enough: Travel Tiles is a triple-match game, so every tile you pick up is a commitment to finding two more like it.

Clear every tile off the board and you win. Fill all seven tray slots with tiles that cannot make a triple and the run is over, so space is the real resource. Three controls help you out of trouble: Undo takes back your last pick, Shuffle remixes the tiles still on the board, and Hint points out a tile worth taking.

Tips

  • Don’t bank singles. A tile with no visible partners is a slot you may not get back. Only lift a lone tile when you can see where its other two copies are.
  • Dig, don’t skim. Prefer tiles that free something buried underneath. Clearing the top of a stack reveals new options and keeps the board from narrowing down to a handful of choices.
  • Keep two or three slots spare. Going into a fresh layer with a nearly full tray is how runs end. Cash in a triple before you commit to exploring.
  • Take complete triples first. If all three copies of a tile are free, grab them back to back — they clear immediately and cost you no lasting tray space.
  • Use Hint sparingly. It is best saved for the moment you genuinely cannot see a safe pick; leaning on it early stops you reading the stack for yourself.

Travel Tiles FAQ

Is Travel Tiles free to play?

Yes. Travel Tiles is completely free to play in your browser — there is no download, no install and no signup. Open the page and start tapping tiles.

How do the triple matches work?

Tap any free tile on the board and it moves into your tray. As soon as three tiles of the same kind sit in the tray together they clear automatically and give their slots back. Pairs are not enough — you always need three of a kind.

What happens when the tray fills up?

The tray holds seven tiles. If all seven slots fill with tiles that cannot make a triple, the run is over. Use Undo to take back your last pick or Shuffle to remix the tiles still on the board before it gets that far.

Is Travel Tiles timed?

No. There is no clock and no move limit, so you can take as long as you like over each pick. The only pressure comes from the seven tray slots.

Does Travel Tiles work on mobile?

Yes. Travel Tiles runs in any modern browser on phones, tablets and desktops, and the board is built for tapping as well as clicking. Nothing to install.
