MEET THE CREW
Great heists need a brilliant plan.
They also need someone willing to ignore it. And, apparently, a dog.
Meet Vera, Ethan and Wags — the unlikely crew behind some of the world's most audacious heists.
They don't use weapons. They don't hurt people. And they never take anything that can't afford to be dramatically missed.
Their specialty? The supposedly impossible.
Your job is to clear the way.

VERA VOSS
The Mastermind
“Impossible is usually just badly examined.”
By the time everyone else realizes there’s a problem, Vera Voss is generally wondering why it’s taking them so long.
Cool-headed, relentlessly observant and annoyingly difficult to surprise, Vera has an extraordinary talent for seeing patterns other people miss. A museum can install twelve cameras, three pressure sensors, two guards and a vault door described by its manufacturer as impenetrable — and Vera will quietly notice that somebody forgot about the flower delivery every Thursday at 8:15.
That’s usually where the plan begins.
Nobody knows exactly what Vera did before forming the crew. Ethan has asked. Repeatedly. Her answers so far include “consulting,” “logistics,” and once, after a particularly long flight, “competitive origami.”
She doesn’t steal because she needs the money. Vera collects impossible problems — and unfortunately for the world’s most secure vaults, she hates leaving a puzzle unfinished.
Behind the immaculate plans and intimidating composure, however, Vera has a surprisingly soft side. She remembers everyone’s coffee order, secretly keeps postcards from every city they’ve visited, and has never successfully remained angry with Wags for more than eleven seconds.
She claims this is because anger compromises decision-making.
Nobody believes her.
Vera’s Particulars
- Likes:Strong coffee, beautiful maps, punctuality, obscure museums, plans with exactly one unnecessary flourish.
- Dislikes:People saying “unbreakable,” loud chewing, unnecessary meetings, Ethan saying “Trust me.”
- Hidden talent:Can identify most major cities from their public-transport maps.
- Weakness:Pastries. Specifically ones she insists she is “only trying because we’re here.”
- Heist philosophy:If you have to run, something went wrong earlier.
- Wags thinks Vera is:The person in charge of snacks.
- Vera thinks Wags is:“A completely unacceptable operational variable.”
Her phone contains 614 photographs of him.

ETHAN ROWE
The Operator
“Technically, the plan still worked.”
If Vera is the reason the plan should work, Ethan Rowe is the reason it somehow still works after absolutely everything goes wrong.
Locks, rooftops, security systems, moving vehicles, inconveniently positioned windows — Ethan handles the parts of Vera’s plans that require someone to actually go outside.
He’s quick, resourceful and irritatingly comfortable improvising at precisely the moment Vera would prefer nobody improvise at all.
The two met during a job in which Vera had calculated every variable except for Ethan.
He wasn’t supposed to be there.
He wasn’t supposed to open the door.
And he definitely wasn’t supposed to leave with the thing Vera had spent three weeks planning to acquire.
She recruited him the following morning.
Ethan tells people this was because Vera immediately recognized his exceptional talent.
Vera says she wanted to keep an eye on him.
Both versions are probably true.
For all his jokes and apparent recklessness, Ethan is extremely good at what he does. When things genuinely get difficult, the grin disappears, the noise fades away and he becomes exactly the person you’d want beside you.
Then the danger passes and he immediately says something annoying.
Ethan’s Particulars
- Likes:Motorcycles, terrible roadside coffee, gadgets, rooftop views, proving Vera’s backup plan unnecessary.
- Dislikes:Ties, waiting in vans, instructions longer than one page, Vera being right before he’s finished being wrong.
- Hidden talent:Can fix almost anything with whatever happens to be nearby.
- Weakness:Cannot walk past a street-food stall without stopping.
- Heist philosophy:A good plan gets you in. A good exit gets you invited back.
- Vera’s most-used sentence around Ethan:“That was not the plan.”
- Ethan’s response:“But you had a contingency.”
She always does.

SIR WAGSWORTH
The Specialist
“Woof.”
Nobody recruited Sir Wagsworth.
Sir Wagsworth recruited himself.
The name, as far as anyone can tell, is self-appointed. He answers to it instantly, carries it with the gravity of inherited nobility, and permits only his closest friends to call him Wags. The crew qualifies. He remains undecided about you.
The crew first encountered him during a rainy night in Rome when Ethan shared half a sandwich with a scruffy little dog waiting outside their safe house.
This was Ethan’s first mistake.
His second was opening the door the following morning.
Wags walked in, inspected the premises, ate something Vera had been saving for breakfast and went to sleep on a bag containing several million euros’ worth of stolen antiquities.
He has been part of the crew ever since.
His official role remains disputed.
Ethan calls him Head of Distractions.
Vera calls him “not an employee.”
Wags appears unconcerned by the distinction.
Despite having no detectable understanding of operational security, Wags possesses an uncanny habit of being useful at exactly the right moment. Guards adore him. Security dogs inexplicably become his friends. He has discovered hidden passages, retrieved dropped keys and once prevented an entire operation from collapsing because he refused to stop barking at what turned out to be the wrong catering van.
Vera has attempted to determine whether this is instinct, intelligence or extraordinary luck.
Results remain inconclusive.
Wags’ Particulars
- Full name and title:Sir Wagsworth. The title is self-appointed. He considers it thoroughly deserved.
- Permitted to call him Wags:Close friends only. The list is short, and he maintains it personally.
- Likes:Ethan, Vera, sausages, open car windows, expensive hotel beds he has specifically been told not to use.
- Dislikes:Vacuum cleaners, closed doors, waiting quietly during surveillance.
- Hidden talent:Can locate food through several structurally significant walls.
- Weakness:Also food.
- Heist philosophy:If nobody is watching the sandwich, the sandwich has no owner.
- Criminal record:One stolen croissant.
- Remorse:None.
- Official cut of every heist:One premium snack.
He has repeatedly attempted to renegotiate.
THE CREW
Vera makes the plan.
Ethan makes the plan work.
Wags makes the plan considerably more complicated.
And you?
You clear their escape route.
Every match opens another path. Every cleared board gets the crew closer to the prize. And when the city's supposedly impossible heist is finally complete, there's only one thing left to do:
Split the loot and disappear before anyone figures out how you did it.
Welcome to the crew.
Match Smart. Pull the Heist.
